Last week Bit happily ran into our room, announcing “I put bowl in sink! And spoon, too!” This has been a normal thing for about a few months. She knows that after snack or breakfast, she can clean up after herself (to an extent.) This is when I usually stop what I’m doing (I was feeding brother), grab a wipe and clean her up (she’s as messy as her momma.) On this day, she followed the usual announcement with “I clean my face!” I kinda let it go in one ear and out the other, especially since she came into the room with yogurt still on her face.
A few days later, the same things happened, bowl, spoon, face. The exception was that I had just heard a loud bang in the dining room. That stinker had gone into the cabinet where a stash of wipes is kept (for easy dinner clean up). We recently had a party, so the wipes were hidden. Apparently she dug around until she found what she needed and really did wipe her face off!
Yesterrday, she spilled milk, got a towel and cleaned it up all before I realized she ever made a mess.
She is growing up too fast!
